About the role
Avernsys is an American software company in Palo Alto. We build custom software and SaaS platforms for large companies and government agencies, and we make Rotasal, route optimization for delivery fleets. Our engineers, scientists, designers and sellers work together on hard, real-world problems, and every hire shapes what we build next.
You'll join our engineering team as a generalist: some weeks that's a new planning workflow in a web app, others it's a hot path in the routing engine or an integration with a customer's systems. You'll work alongside senior engineers and own what you ship.
What you'll do
- Design, build, and ship features across the Rotasal web application, API, and background workers.
- Improve routing, scheduling, and optimization logic together with the team.
- Instrument, monitor, and iterate on what you ship — reliability is part of the job.
- Talk to customers and turn their feedback into product decisions.
What we're looking for
- Strong TypeScript, or strong experience in a comparable language with the willingness to work in TypeScript.
- Experience building and operating production web applications.
- Comfort owning features end to end.
- Working proficiency in English.
Nice to have
- Background in optimization, operations research, or logistics.
- Experience with PostgreSQL and modern React.
