About the role
Avernsys builds Rotasal, a route optimization platform for last-mile delivery teams: dispatchers enter their orders and get optimized, driver-ready routes in seconds. We're a small, founder-led team in Palo Alto, and every hire shapes both the product and how we work.
You'll own whole areas of the product — the planning API, the dispatch experience, or the optimization service — from design to production, and raise the bar for how we build. Expect a lot of autonomy, a direct line to customers, and a real say in technical direction.
What you'll do
- Lead the design and delivery of major features and services across the Rotasal platform.
- Set engineering standards: architecture, code review, testing, and operational readiness.
- Mentor other engineers and unblock the team on the hardest problems.
- Partner with the founder on roadmap, technical direction, and hiring.
What we're looking for
- 5+ years building and running production systems, ideally including a large or high-throughput one.
- Deep expertise in TypeScript/Node.js or a comparable stack, plus solid data-modelling and API-design skills.
- A track record of shipping end to end and staying accountable for the result in production.
- Clear written and spoken communication in English.
Nice to have
- Experience with routing, scheduling, or other optimization-heavy products.
- Prior startup or founding-team experience.
